What’s so special about your Soapnuts?
  • Well, for one, they are 100% natural, compostable, biodegradable and free from harmful chemicals. Beat that!
Can I reuse the Soap Nuts?
  • Yes you can! For between 5-7 times depending on your load, water temperature and washing modes. We suggest you experiment to discover what works best for you.
Do I have to remove the Soapnuts during rinse cycle?
  • You can actually leave the Soapnuts during the rinse cycle because they don’t contain nasty chemicals that need to be rinsed out, plus they act as natural fabric softeners for your clothes.
 Can Soapnuts replace softeners too?
  • Soapnuts actually act as a natural fabric softener by opening up the fibres in your clothes so that they feel soft. Compare this to commercial softeners which are mainly made of silicone based wax. They work by reducing static cling, creating electrostatic reactions that causes the fabric fibres to ‘stand up’ so that fabric feels softer and fluffier. Fragrances and colors are also added to make them aesthetically pleasing. So yes, soapnuts is a much healthier replacement for softeners!
Are Soapnuts safe for my washing machine?
  • Absolutely! In fact, they are often recommended to replace detergent and softeners as they do not contain any chemical residue in the washing machines.
How many times can I use Wool Dryer Balls?
  • Up to a 1000 times! Seriously…but u probably want to change them at least once a year
How do they help me save time, water and money?
  • Wool Dryer balls cut your drying time by up to 30% helping you to save electricity
  • Soapnuts can help save water because you do not need additional rinse cycles to wash out the nasty chemicals in your clothes, because there aren’t any!
How are your dryer balls different from others?
  • Our Wool Dryer Balls are 26-28 micron compared to most brands that uses wool that are 32 microns and bigger. This makes our dryer balls softer plus we have to weave more wool for the same size of dryer ball using 32 micron wool.
  • Our Himalayan sheep graze free-range in open pasture at high altitude; they are not bred in cruel, restrictive farms like some others.
 Do you bleach your Wool?
  • Never! No bleach or chemicals are used in the manufacturing process. Our manufacturing partners adhere to a very strict organic manufacturing process that ensures only the highest quality product are ever produced.
 Are they organic?
  • Our manufacturing partners adhere to a very strict organic manufacturing process, however, we cannot make mention of that organic standard until we are licensed ourselves. We are working towards that and need your support to make that happen!
Aren’t the bag that keeps the Soap nuts plastic?
  • They are “plastic” made from Corn starch. The difference? They degrade between 60 to 180 days vs most plastic which can take up to 300 years to break down!
Why is there so little foam in the washing machine?
  • Well, Soapnuts naturally produce low suds but low suds does not mean poor wash! Soap nuts contain natural Saponin that helps separate dirt, grime, smell from your clothes through the agitation of your clothes in water…. without the nasties!
  • Plus, we have all been “conditioned” by commercial brands to think that lots of foam = good wash and heavy scent = clean & fresh. But the reality is that lots of foam and strong scent only means there are lots of chemicals to create that effect! Check out our product reviews to read about the quality of wash Soapnuts brings.
